In a significant development, the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence has seized 394 pieces of Gold biscuits of foreign origin. The total price for the same is estimated at Rs.33.50 crores, and the biscuits weigh over 65 Kg in total. The Ministry of Finance, in a statement on Wednesday, said that the Gold bars were smuggled by the neighboring northeastern countries after which the DRI launched an investigation based on the intelligence reports.
